I was invited by a couple of friends to participate in a restaurant and pub crawl, inspired by the Peachtree Road Race. Kevin and Verlin came up with the idea while training for the 10K, which starts in Buckhead and ends in Mid-Town. As they ran various parts of the course they kept seeing restaurants or pubs that they either liked or wanted to try - thus the list of 10 for 2014 was born. This was the planned itinerary (the times are the individual location's open/close times):

Eat the Peachtree 2014
In celebration of the world's largest 10K, join us in partaking of some of the best eating and drinking (roughly) along the route of the Peachtree Road Race. We'll kick off at 1:00PM and go until we reach Piedmont Park.

The entire path ends up being about 5.9 miles.
If you're going to do something like this there are some considerations:
- Wear light, loose fitting clothing - even though you're walking, you are burning calories so it's more like exercise than not.
- Moderate your food and alcohol intake - our rule was to only do one drink per place.
- Drink plenty of water - most of us drank an extra pint or so of water before leaving for the next place on the list.
- Be adventurous and try the food, even if it's "not your thing"
The Event
So out of about 100 people that were invited, about 15 indicated either a going or maybe status (Facebook was used to organize the event). In actuality, 7 showed up at 1:00 PM that Saturday, with two more showing up on stop 4 before leaving us at stop 6. We managed to stop at 9 of the 10 locations ending at around 11:00 PM. Kevin and I took MARTA back up to Buckhead and Chamblee, respectively - I arrived home about 12:15 AM.
I'm breaking up the individual restaurants into separate posts. They'll all be tagged with ETP2014.
